My Personal Microdermabrasion Experience – Pictures & Video Demo by Alisa Nicole
PMD Video Review and Demo by Alisa Nicole from her YouTube Channel. YouTube views at time of publishing article: 60,197. Video was originally published on 17 December 2014. This is a shared video linked from YouTube.
Alisa starts off the video by stating that she has been using the PMD for 2 weeks, for a total of 3 times.
She says she has seen a huge difference in her skin. She declares that she was the one who reached out to the company and asked that if she could review this product.
She had heard a lot of great things about this product in terms of reducing the size of large pores, minimizing acne, reducing acne scars. And so she wanted to give it try to see if it’s all that it’s hyped up to be.
The company agreed to her request and they sent her the device to try it out.
She used it immediately on the Monday night that she got it. The following Monday night and the next Monday. So it’s a total of 3 times. She shows us her before and after photos in her video:
We see a significant difference in her skin. Her pore sizes are reduced and her blemishes have become much less noticeable.
She goes on to explain that Microdermabrasion exfoliates the top layer of your skin and helps your skin cells to rejuvenate faster.
She states that it’s possible to get Microdermabrasion done professionally, but it is really expensive.
Whereas when you purchase this device once, you can use it for multiple times without the need to spend huge sums of money.
She likes that you can get professional results at the comfort of your own home. You also have more privacy versus getting a Microdermabrsion treatment done outside, where you have to be out in the public after the treatment is done.
She moves on to show us the box that the PMD comes in. She explains that it comes with 3 different tips.
The small tip is for your face. And the larger tip is for usage on your body, which she hasn’t tried yet.
She unscrews the small, purple tip to show the green disc which she calls them as “abrasion tips”.
She says initially, when she first started out, she used the white discs which are training discs that are more gentle and kinda like starter discs.
She goes on to explain that there are different colored discs for different uses:
1. Black: Sensitive Skin
2. Green: Medium Level
3. Red: Slightly More Harsh
So she used the white discs for the 1st time. And the green discs for her 2nd and 3rd treatments.
Next, she shares her first experience with us.
She watched the instructional DVD but she guessed she didn’t really understand the whole concept of what the device could really do.
She advises that you have to do your homework, to learn how to use it, before you use it.
She said that she didn’t know she had to pull her skin and make it tight, and make quicker passes across her tight skin.
She thought that she would just have to place it on her skin, and it would form a kind of suction so that she can slowly move it. She said she thought it was so cool that she could see the dead skin coming off that she didn’t realise she was moving too slowly.
Because of that, she had some light stripe burns on her face. She says that the burns have been healing, and that she realises that she had done it wrong from her first attempt.
She hopes that her first experience does not deter you or scare you off. She had put antibiotic ointment to heal her skin. So hence she wants you to make sure you’ve done your homework before you go ahead to do your first treatment on your own.
She was able to resume her microdermabrasion treatment 7 days later and that it was okay.
Her advice was to have quicker passes over your skin, instead of hovering slowly on an area for too long.
And that you have to use the right tip and disc.
After your treatment, she suggests that you should tone your face and to apply your moisturiser.
She says that your face is going to feel incredibly smooth.
She shares that she was shocked to see how her skin has changed. Such as when she applies makeup now, it sets on her face nicely and she feels like it is glowing.
She explains that for her previous makeup tutorial photo, she did not have to do any editing, and she is convinced that her pores are shrinking, thus making her face with makeup beautiful and effortless.
She says that her pores are not as big or as noticeable as they used to be. And she had tried a lot of different stuff to make her pores smaller previously, and she’s finally found something that is working.
Thus, she can’t wait to stop using this product. She says she’s going try to update at a later time on the progress she is going to make with this.
She’s excited, caused she has seen so many good results from other people who have been using this as well.
Towards the end of her video review, she gives an actual demo of how she’s using the PMD on her bare face.
